We will use the information you provide for such purposes as a basis for our advice about financial planning strategies, investments and/or life insurance, reviewing your progress toward your planning goals or other services that you may require.

From time to time we may use your personal information to provide you with material that we believe may be of interest to you. You may tell us at any time if you do not want to receive such material.

To whom may we disclose the information?

When we help you implement the advice we will need to pass on the information to the organisations involved. These will vary with circumstances but typically include the fund managers and life insurance companies with which the investments or insurance are placed.

We may be required to provide personal information about you to other organisations such as the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, the Financial Planning Association and our Professional Indemnity insurance brokers or underwriters. However, we take reasonable steps to ensure that they, too, protect the privacy of information that may be disclosed to them and comply with the Privacy Act obligations.

How may you access the information we hold about you?

We take particular care when obtaining your information to record it as accurately as possible. However, if you believe that any information that we hold about you may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date please contact us so that we can update our records.

Generally you have the right to obtain access to the information we hold about you, except for certain situations prescribed by law. If you would like to obtain access to the information we hold about you please contact us and we will make arrangements for you to obtain access to it. Generally we do not charge a fee for such access but we may charge you the reasonable costs involved in providing any information you have requested.
